  Tried it a dozen times. Friendly, yes. Nice atmosphere, yes. Food... Mediocre, hit and miss. If you're not fussy, it's a nice place. Jambalaya is the best dish.

  Okay Three strikes and you're out. I hadn't been to Timbers inn in probably close to a decade. Decided to try it out. The prices are pretty high for the area and the food is absolutely horrible. The wait staff is okay, mediocre at best. The first time I figured it was a bad day or something so I didn't really complain much. I did mention to the girl that the fries were stale and tasted and looked like they had sat out over night. She apologized, but did nothing to follow up with that. The second time the food tasted freezer burnt. The third time (I guess I'm an idiot for thinking it would be any different, but some friends wanted to meet in the middle and this was all we could think of) pretty much the same. I love the decor and atmosphere, but to pay north of $12 per plate for food that is gross is ridiculous. I won't be back.

  Service was terribly slow. Took over half hour to fish steak and ribs after salad and appetizer. Steak was tough, ribs were dry fish was good.

  Cozy atmosphere, good location/parking, and a right-sized menu makes this a great place to bring friends, family, or both. There are two sides to the restaurant, a quieter side to the left and a bar area to the right. Outdoor seating in the warmer months. Try the chili!
